Hi @EH44,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the flashing E and O.
An E0 error indicates an unusable cartridge.
This occurs when one or both ink cartridges need attention. Reseat both cartridges, clean the ink cartridge contacts, restart the printer, and replace one or both ink cartridges if necessary.
The flashing "E" and "O" error on your HP ENVY 6020e printer indicates an error state. To resolve this issue, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check Cartridge Installation
- Turn Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the Cartridge Access Door: Open the front cover to access the ink cartridges.
- Remove and Reinstall Cartridges:
- Remove both the black and tri-color cartridges.
- Reinstall them, ensuring they click into place securely.
- Close the Access Door: Close the cartridge access door.
2. Check for Cartridge and Printer Errors
- Turn On the Printer: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Check the Display: Look at the printer display for any error messages or icons.
3. Check for Cartridge Compatibility
Ensure the cartridges you installed are compatible with your HP ENVY 6020e printer. Use only HP original cartridges for best results.
4. Clean the Cartridge Contacts
- Turn Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove the Cartridges: Open the cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
- Clean the Contacts:
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water.
- Gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges.
- Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridges.
- Reinstall the Cartridges: Reinstall the cartridges and close the access door.
5. Reset the Printer
- Turn Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 Seconds: Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug In and Turn On: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Kindly check the next set of steps in the next post
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
