So here  I am grinding, printing from the internet, lessons for a course I am taking when my printer stops due to a paper jam. I remove the paper and open all compartments and put my hand inside the printer after not seeing any paper inside jammed. In hindsight, I think this was a bad idea. I put the paper back in and resumed printing, now my printout do not print certain characters: 2's, k's, g's, etc. It looks like an acute triangle or something in the place where the character should be...or there is just a blank space. What did I do? How do I fix this?

Hi @owenaway

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue.

Please try these steps - HP Printers - Unexpected Text Prints (Windows)

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
