Hi,
Perhaps one of you can help me, I hope. My printer is printing all other colors except black. I just bought new black ink cartage, and still black ink is not printing. Uninstalled printer, installed driver again in no avail. Updating firmware failed.  I removed the tape properly, and checked the vent, is not clogged. When I swipe the ink cartage the ink is splashing, but nothing is printing in black.

Any other suggestions?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

It could be a case of  a defective new ink or the printer itself. Are you able to copy in black?

Do you have any other black ink cartridge with you?
