I am currently tying to print off a drawing that spans over multiple a4 pages using adobe acrobat. The first page usually prints okay but all the pages after don't have any curved lines and is completely drawn with straight lines.

Hi @JustJFG,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is printing only in straight lines when it should be printing curved lines, there are a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.
- Check printer settings: Ensure that the printer settings are correctly configured for the print job. Make sure you haven't accidentally selected a setting that causes the printer to print in a draft mode, which may result in straight lines instead of curves. Double-check the settings in both the printer properties on your computer and any settings directly on the printer itself.
- Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the official HP website and search for the latest drivers available for your specific printer model. Download and install the updated drivers following the provided instructions.
- Verify print quality settings: Some printers have separate settings for print quality, which can affect the accuracy of curved lines. Ensure that the print quality settings are set to the highest possible option for the best output.
- Check paper type and size: Make sure the paper you are using matches the specifications supported by your printer. Improper paper loading or using paper that is too thin or too thick can cause printing problems, including issues with curved lines.
- Clean print heads: Over time, print heads can become clogged or dirty, resulting in poor print quality. Most printers have a utility or cleaning function in the settings that allows you to clean the print heads. Run a print head cleaning cycle to see if it improves the print quality.
- Calibrate printer: Some printers offer calibration options to ensure accurate printing. Check your printer's manual or settings to see if there is a calibration feature available. Performing a calibration may help resolve the issue with curved lines.
- Perform a test print: Print a test page or any other document with curved lines from a different source or application to determine if the problem is specific to a particular file or software.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
