I have been printing documents and they seem to be zoomed in or at incorrect scale. The lines are spaced far apart from one another. It looks fine in print preview and even fixed scale to 100, but it still comes out wrong.

Welcome to HP support community.

Did you make a copy and check of that prints fine?

Meanwhile:

Update the printer firmware

Refer the steps mentioned in the document to update:- Click here

Align the printer

  1. Open or search for the HP folder in your list of installed software programs, click the folder for your printer, and then click the name of your printer.

The HP Printer Assistant software opens.

  2. Click Print & Scan, and then click Maintain Your Printer.

  3. Click the Device Services tab, and then click Align Cartridges.

The printer prints an alignment page.

  4. Lift the scanner lid.

  5. Place the alignment page with the print side down on the scanner glass, and then position it according to the engraved guides around the glass.
