hp Officejet 4215xi all-in-one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Officejet 4215xi is about 15 years old, but I still love it dearly.  It's been in storage for some time, so I've had to get acquainted with it again now that I'm using it once more.  It pulls paper from below for printing; above for making copies.  The first thing it wanted to do when I put new cartridges in and started it up was print the alignment page, which it did perfectly.  Then I was to put that page face down in the tray that feeds it into the copier so it could "align the cartridges".  Well, it wouldn't pull the page through!  I went to the manual to troubleshoot, and it had me try cleaning the rollers and a few other things.  After doing all that, it still would not pull the paper through.  It made an effort (squeak, squawk, whirrrr), but did not succeed.  All the moving parts seem to be Ok, so I can't figure this out.

However, I could still use it as a printer if I could just get it to let me bypass the cartridge alignment step!  I've seen others ask this question here in the community and have it resolved, but the  resolution was sent to them In a private message, so that was of no help to me!  Can someone private message ME with the solution, please?  Thanks in advance, if so.
