Hi @pdaaronson,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer is paused, it won’t process any print jobs until it’s unpaused. Here’s how you can unpause the printer and get it working again:
For Windows:
Open the Control Panel:
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog, type control, and press Enter.
- Navigate to Devices and Printers or View devices and printers under Hardware and Sound.
Find Your Printer:
- Locate your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e in the list of printers.
Unpause the Printer:
- Right-click on your printer icon and select See what's printing.
- In the new window, click on the Printer menu at the top.
- If there is a checkmark next to Pause Printing, click on it to unpause the printer.
Restart Print Jobs:
- If there are any pending print jobs in the queue, they should start printing once the printer is unpaused. If not, you may need to restart the print jobs.
For macOS:
Open System Preferences:
- Click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen and select System Preferences.
- Go to Printers & Scanners.
Find Your Printer:
- In the Printers list, select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e.
Unpause the Printer:
- If the printer shows as paused, there should be a Resume button near the status or in the printer queue window. Click Resume to unpause the printer.
Check the Print Queue:
- If there are any documents in the print queue, they should resume printing. If they don't, try reprinting them.
Additional Steps if Unpausing Doesn't Work:
- Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and turn it back on.
- Check Connection: Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.
- Update Drivers: Ensure that the printer drivers are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
- Clear Print Queue: Sometimes, clearing the print queue and sending the job again can resolve issues.
If you’re still facing issues after trying these steps, there could be a deeper issue with the printer or its connection to your computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
