Hi @Fixmyprinter155,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your printer is showing error code 0xB80586AA and won’t operate. Let’s go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

Power Cycle the Printer

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.

Wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Sometimes a simple restart clears temporary errors.

Check for Paper Jam or Obstructions

Open all printer doors and trays.

Remove any paper stuck in the input, output, or inside the printer.

Check for torn pieces of paper or small objects that could block the mechanism.

Check Cartridges and Covers

Remove all ink or toner cartridges and ensure they are seated correctly.

Inspect the cartridge contacts for dirt or damage.

Close all covers firmly after reseating cartridges.

Reset the Printer

With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.

Unplug the cord from the wall outlet.

Wait 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the wall first, then the printer.

Turn the printer back on and check if the error persists.

Update Printer Firmware (if possible)

If the printer connects to Wi-Fi or USB, check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or printer control panel.

Installing the latest firmware can resolve error codes caused by software glitches.

Check for Obstructed Sensors or Mechanical Issues

Some error codes indicate the printer’s internal sensors detect a problem.

Carefully inspect the paper path, rollers, and cartridge area for anything that might block movement.

Test Without Accessories

Disconnect all USB devices, external storage, or network cables.

Try powering on and operating the printer with only power connected.

If Error Persists

Persistent 0xB80586AA often indicates a hardware issue, such as a carriage or sensor fault.

Avoid repeated attempts to operate the printer, as it could cause further damage.

I hope this helps.
