DESKJET PRO 6830
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I have somehow locked myself out as the "device administrator" for my Deskjet 6830 printer. As a result I can no longer change certain setings. Can someone please advise me on how to hard reset my printer to restore total functionality. Thanks.

Hi @Frankc4

Is it an HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer? If yes, try these steps -

Step 1 Network Restore -
1) From the printer control panel, touch Setup .
2) Touch Network Setup.
3) Touch Restore Network Settings.

Step 2 Reboot the devices -
1) Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer.
2) Wait for 60 seconds.
3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.
4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.
5) Turn on the computer.

Step 3 Run Wireless Wizard -
1) From the printer control panel, touch Setup .
2) Touch Network Setup.
3) Touch Wireless Settings.
4) Touch Wireless Setup Wizard .
5) Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
