Hey we have several 477 Pagewide printers in use
after the latest firmware upgrade (auto) to:
MAVEDWPP1N001.2127A.00
all the printer cant print fonts from word anymore just printing squares for the text.
all printer which still have:
MAVEDWPP1N001.2105D.00
are working perfectly fine.
Any one has a way to downgrade? facing same problem? any hints?
did not find a printer driver version newer than 3.0 (Airprint)
only workaround by now is to save it as pdf and send it as picture to the printer..... but cant be a solution....
Thanks for any help....

Hi,
Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.
Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip
As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.

Try adding the printer on your Mac using a Generic driver and check if you may print then:
Locate the IP Address of the printer, click the Network or Wireless icon and locate the IP Address of the printer.
On the Mac open System Preferences and select Printers & Scanners.
Click the plus sign, then click the IP tab.
Set the Protocol as HP Jetdirect Socket, within the Use drop-down menu a Generic PCL Driver should be auto selected, then click Add and try printing using the newly added print queue.
Also, from Safari, browse to this IP Address, select the Print tab, under PCL may you clarify which Character Set or Font is currently selected for the printer?

Great to see that it now printing correctly from your Mac!
Please clarify the further information regarding the font or character information, also try printing from the Hp Smart app instead of AirPrint from your iOS Device.
