Hi johnM357,

I was suggesting a semi-full reset to be performed on the printer.

I was able to send you a private message with instructions again.

Could you check and let me know if you have received my message.

Thanks!

Hi @JohnM357,

I'd like to help!

B808D2FC is a firmware corrupt error.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Ah, I saw the message first and didn't understand.  I'll go back and follow that instruction now.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Please send the message to me again.  After I closed the private message I can't re-open it.  I get an error that I don't have sufficient privilege to open the message from the link.

I did the partial reset from the setup menu on the printer front panel.

All looks ok, till I send a print job.

The printer does not print.  I get this message:

Printer Cannot Print

A problem has occurred and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved.  Check your HP account for more information.

If you have an HP+ printer , make sure to use Original HP cartridges.

One important detail - when I did the partial reset the printer was able to print the calibration sheet.  That is the only thing it will print.  Anything I try to print from the printer control panel (LCD touchscreen) or from PC I get that same "error has occurred" message.

I typed it wrong above.  I did a semi-full reset.  See private messages.
