Welcome to the HP Community --
One Idea - Brand new "just out of box" printer...
Remove the intake tray and look inside -- there might be a bit of cardboard in the back meant to keep the tray from banging about during transit.
Check any door, section that will open and check.
Use the "Jam and Feed" Troubleshooting document as a guide.
Use the user guide to see information about loading paper.

Check for tape, too...
Open up the printer and check around for bits of blue tape where there should be none. Could be anywhere though it should certainly be somewhere you can see it and get to it.
