OfficeJet Pro 9015
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I purchased an OfficeJet Pro 9015 and have had trouble printing color text from MS Office docs and PDFs.

I have a PowerPoint file with text-heavy slides and they're not printing correctly with my new printer. The text is all dark blue (and printed correctly with my now dead OfficeJet 6700). I get a couple of lines of one shade of blue, then a couple of lines in a different shade of blue, then another couple in the first shade, etc.

I've spent nearly four hours on the phone and in chat with HP on this issue. They replaced the print head and ink cartridges first (the problem persisted), then the entire printer. Again, the problem persisted through another hour of troubleshooting, where we tried multiple drivers.

They offered to send me yet another replacement printer, but I'm not confident at all that this will resolve my issue.

Has anyone seen or heard of an issue like this?

Thanks in advance,

Tony.

This is what the doc should look like:

After calling back yesterday and insisting that they escalate this, I spoke with someone else, and the problem is resolved.

The problem seems to have had something to do with the driver, oddly enough. The rep asked me to swap the OfficeJet Pro 9010 driver with the driver from my previous printer (OfficeJet 6700), and the problem is gone. Colors print properly now.

What's strange is, in previous troubleshooting they asked me to replace the OfficeJet 9010 driver with the DeskJet 1000 series driver, which had no effect; the problem persisted.

Just putting this out there in case anyone has a similar experience.

Tony.
