Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This 902XL magenta ink was purchased I think at Staples along with separate boxes containing Cyan and Yellow.  All had same expiration date.  The other inks opened and were put into the printer, no problem.  This ink I pulled the orange tab (that says "pull") to remove the plastic from around the cartridge, then noticed my hands were wet, didn't even get the plastic removed and red ink was everywhere.  I never got as far as removing the plastic tab on the bottom.  I immediately put it into a plastic bag.  Should I return to where I bought it, or will HP replace?  This happened to me last year with a yellow cartridge, again a 902XL cartridge.  I have currently put the old used cartridge back in the printer.  Still out of $$ for this cartridge.  HP?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

You may either contact Staples and ask them for a replacement or contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware issue.
