New printer, new cartridges. Error code e0. Won't print

The "e0" error on the HP DeskJet 4255e typically indicates a problem with the printer's cartridge or printhead. Since your printer is new, here are a few troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

 

Check the Cartridges:

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are correctly installed. Remove the cartridges and reinsert them carefully, making sure they are secure.
  • Check for any protective tape or packaging that might not have been removed from the cartridges.

Inspect the Printhead:

  • If the error persists, remove the printhead (if accessible) and check for any obstructions or protective materials left inside.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before plugging it back in and turning the printer on again.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Sometimes, paper jams or debris inside the printer can trigger errors. Open the printer and inspect for any stuck paper or foreign objects.

Ensure Correct Cartridges:

  • Make sure you are using the correct and compatible ink cartridges for the HP DeskJet 4255e. Using third-party or incompatible cartridges might cause errors.
