I have been printing my emails  in fast draft for as long as I've had my HP printer from Google Chrome. For the last 7 days I haven't been able to do this anymore. I have checked the printer preferences and everything is set up correctly. However if I print emails whilst using Firefox then I can print fast draft. I have checked that the drivers are up ro date and they are. Please help as this is going to use a lot of ink and it's so slow as it can only print in best!

Hello @Sherbie,

Welcome to the HP Forums.

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

I would like to help you out with this issue today.

Check the print driver settings.

Check the print driver settings. Selecting certain paper types or printing in Best quality can slow print speeds. Print with plain paper in Normal or Draft quality for faster print speeds.

  1. Search Windows for printers, and then click Devices and printers in the list of results.

  2. Double-click the icon for your printer.

  3. Double-click Set Preferences.

  4. Find the paper type information.

  5. In the Paper type area, make sure Plain Paper is selected.

  6. In the Quality Settings area, make sure Draft or Normal are selected.

  7. Click OK or Apply to confirm the changes, close the HP printer driver window, and then close the Devices and Printers window.

Try to print.

For slow printing click here for the best document and follow the instruction.

Please let me know how this goes, I will gladly do all I can to help.

If you wish to say thanks for my effort to help.

Thank's for your reply. I had all the printer preferneces set up correctly, but what I hadn't realised that wehen i went into print an item via Goodgle Chrome the dpi was set at 1200 and not 300. This was reverting everythingh back to best, so I have now reset it to 300 and it now prints as ffast dfraft.

Thanks
