Hi @0888267118,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "No Scan Options" error on your HP Officejet 4500 can be caused by several factors. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that your HP Officejet 4500 is properly connected to your computer or network.
  • If you are using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely connected.
  • If you are using a network connection, verify that the printer is connected to the network and that your computer can communicate with it.

Software Installation:

  • Make sure that the HP scanning software is installed on your computer. If not, you may need to install the appropriate software from the HP website.

Restart Devices:

  • Try restarting both your computer and the HP Officejet 4500. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve communication issues.

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your HP Officejet 4500. Visit the HP website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers for your operating system.

HP Printer and Scan Doctor:

  • HP provides a free tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can diagnose and resolve printing and scanning issues. Download and run this tool to see if it can identify and fix the problem.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the scanner lid and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Clear any paper jams if found.

Reinstall Software:

  • If the issue persists, consider uninstalling the HP scanning software and reinstalling it. Make sure to follow the correct installation steps provided by HP.

Verify Settings:

  • Check the scanning settings on your computer and ensure that they are configured correctly. Make sure the scanning destination and options are set appropriately.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Officejet 4500 on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
