Hi  @Jerry19671,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your concern about   your printer suddenly stops handling PDFs, especially if it was working fine before. Dont worry let me help you with this.

Could you confirm the below details

  • Does the error occur only with PDF files, or with other document types too (like Word or Excel)?
  • Are you printing directly from Adobe Acrobat/Reader, or from another application?
  • Do you see a specific error message on the printer screen or your computer?

Here are a few  steps you can try :

  1. Update Adobe Acrobat/Reader – Outdated versions can sometimes cause printing errors.
  2. Print as Image – In Acrobat, go to Print > Advanced > Print as Image and see if that works.
  3. Check Printer Drivers – Make sure the HP app or HP drivers are up to date. You can reinstall them if needed.
  4. Restart Devices – Restart both your printer and computer to clear any temporary glitches.
  5. Try Another PDF – Test with a different PDF file to rule out corruption in the original document.

I hope this helps.
