OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium S/N:[Personal Information Removed]
Printer Failure Message: "There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn off and on. If problem persists, contact HP" The problem persists.
Is there anything I can do to restore this printer?

You can try removing all supplies, power cycle the printer and then reinstall the supplies when prompted.

Removed all ink cartridges and paper. Power cycle yielded the message to install cartridges. Result is the same "Printer Failure" message after closing the front door. Would it help to put in old empty cartridges?
