HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I bought this wide format printer to print 11x17 docs. I loaded 11x17 in Tray 2 but the tray won’t close.
How do I close it?

Hi,

Please make sure you expend the required tray for A3 paper, you should expend the tray first and then close it, it should not be fully closed.

Please check the To load B-size paper section on page 16 of its user guide:

I see the reference to this on page 19. Is there a way to cover the exposed section? I need to print 11x17 frequently. This leaves the paper more susceptible to dust, etc.

Plus, it really is a poor look, especially when working with a client.
It would really have been helpful to know this before making a buying decision.

It is the design, I have not seen an optional cover offered for sale. Part of the challenge of trying to build a lower priced A3 product and also trying to have a minimal desktop footprint.
