Have been unable to locate a print head driver as obsolete.
As HP no longer supply print heads for Officejet 7612, is the solution making one with a 3-D Printer?
HP make 3-D Printers so they must have the technical ability to make parts to allow old printers to be put back into use, to help save the planet... great advertising for the company!
Anyone agree?

The plastic part of the printhead might be 3D printed, and that would probably cost more than plastic moulding.
You can find the printhead for OJ 7612 on eBay, Amazon, Aliexpress. HP never sold them because they are not user replaceable.

Thanks for the response to my post.
Of course the simple question is, after reading about easy install Printheads available on Amazon , if they are easy why can HP not still sell them. Led to believe the printhead issue is a common problem, known to HP.
Wary as to who these sellers are on Amazon, and where located.
Everyone knows printer makers make a lot of their money on inks, surely making printers more easily repaired should be a higher priority to save the Planet.

The printhead on that model is not user replaceable, and HP doesn't sell directly to the customer parts that are not user-friendly to replace.
You can buy printheads from authorized service part dealers.

Thanks for your replies Valsimot, what is your opinion on user friendly replacement parts?
Checking sales on Amazon as previously suggested shows 'easy to install', so what is the difference between HP genuine parts and the ones for sale?
I know someone who is technically gifted who would replace a genuine part.
