Off line and copy mode, Officejet 5745 feeds paper, but paper doesn't feed to the printer heads

The HP officejet 5745  I am troubleshooting, is offline and trying to copy a document.

Printer starts job by feeding paper from tray, but does NOT feed paper to cartridges.  Ink Cartridges are activated but there is not paper to print on.

To better assist you - 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

1. Load U.S. letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

   The Setup menu displays.

3. Touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Working on it.  Been away from the printer this week.  Will try solutions this weekend.

I did go to setting and tried to run report.  Paper wouldn't feed far enough to print anything.

I'm going to re install firmware.
