HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One Printer

OfficeJet Pro 9018 - I have InstantInk subscription. Printer was offline; help suggested to "reset printer". Did that, but now shows "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in ...".  When I hide this msg, It wants to align the Printhead, but goes into a loop and doesn't finish. Also, using the "off" button does a similar loop. I have to unplug, then starts all over.  

I can't get the printer to connect to the internet, but have a USB to printer cable, as well as a USB to USB connected to my laptop.

Any suggestions to get this going again? Thanks.

Open the door to access to the ink cartridges.
Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.
Remove an ink cartridge, and then inspect the ink cartridge for leaking ink.
