My 6230 no longer prints in color. I've update the firmware and reset the printer by disconnecting the power cable for several minutes. The power cable is plugged directly into the wall. I installed brand new color ink cartridges.
When I print a printer status report, it prints in black & white, with no color ink at all. This is from the Embedded Web Server and also when holding the Cancel button on the printer's front panel. The Printer Information in the EWS shows the black ink cartridge as "Used, Refilled or Counterfeit Cartridge Detected." It's the orginal setup cartridge, and it's printing just fine.
I've run all three stages of the printhead cleaning utility, with no change.
Warranty ended in December 2017.
