HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer - H711a/H711g

Hello, I've been having error 0x61011bed pop up on my printer. I've done my research and tried to troubleshoot by using other posts on here. It wont let me align  the printhead without stopping me with another error message. Same with cleaning the printhead, printing a test page, or really anything.

I've tried to unplug and wait a few minutes to reset, no luck. I've made sure the firmware is up to date, no luck. I've tried new cartridge's, no luck.

This printer is awesome and I haven't really had issues in the past I wasn't able to resolve quickly. Hoping there is someone I can talk to about this.

Thanks,

Jackesb22

Hi @jackesb22,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error 0x61011bed on an HP OfficeJet 6600e typically indicates a printhead problem, which can be frustrating. Since you've already tried some common troubleshooting steps, let's go through a more detailed set of actions to try and resolve the issue.

Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer using the power button.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer.

Check for Paper Jams

  1. Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.
  2. Remove any paper or objects that you find.
  3. Close the printer and try to print again.

Reseat the Printhead

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Open the printer cover and wait for the print carriage to move to the center.
  3. Remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
  4. Lift the latch that secures the printhead and gently remove the printhead.
  5. Reinsert the printhead and make sure it is seated correctly.
  6. Lower the latch to secure the printhead and reinstall the ink cartridges.
  7. Close the printer cover and try to print again.

Clean the Printhead

  1. Turn on the printer and open the printer cover.
  2. Remove the ink cartridges.
  3. Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and the printer.
  4. Let the contacts dry completely.
  5. Reinstall the ink cartridges and close the printer cover.
  6. Try to print again.

Update Printer Firmware

Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. Sometimes firmware updates can resolve printhead errors.

  1. Go to the HP support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model.
  2. Follow the instructions on the website to install the firmware update.

Perform a Printhead Alignment

If your printer allows you to bypass the initial error and perform a printhead alignment:

  1. Go to the printer settings or maintenance menu.
  2. Select the option to align the printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.

Reset the Printer

  1. Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still on.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer and try to print again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
