Bought this printer 5 months ago and suddenly, can't print in black ink!! No error message, just wouldn't print. I checked the cartridge status and the color inks were 'low' but the black still had ink.

I replaced all the cartridges, even the black since it was going to need replacing in the near future.

The colors print ok, but printer will not print in black. Will 'copy' in color, but no black.

I have tried everything:

  1. looked through all community entries for suggestions - and tried them
  2. the standard HP printer troubleshooting checklist
  3. tried "clean printhead" option dozens of times
  4. 'Reset'

Printer warranty has 7 months left -

BUT the only way to contact HP support is through Facebook??? NOT EVERYONE USES IT or wants to use it. There should be an alternative.

Thank you in advance.
