I changed the Glossy paper I was using and now Printer won't pick it up at all.
I don't know the brand of the original paper so I couldn't get more of it.
The new paper was thicker than my previous paper at 240gsm so I went out and bought thinner paper 170gsm this still did not work.
I have cleaned the roller as per the official Video bit nothing I do helps.
Yesterday I changed printer setting from other glossy papers to HP glossy and at first it worked but after 4 sheets it stopped again?
I have the HP ink service but it's a waste of money if I can't print it.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand, your printer does not pick up the paper,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Have you tried changing to any other paper settings?
What is the photo paper size?
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
You could try changing the paper type to HP Advanced Photo paper and then try printing.
If the issue persists, please perform a Firmware Update: Click here
Let me know how this goes,
Cheers!

Thanks
The paper size is A4
Yes I have tried using Both HP glossy photo paper setting
and 'Other glossy photo paper' setting
I went to the Firmware update download link and entered my printer which is Officejet pro 8720 but this gives me a dropdown combo without my printer in it?
if i just enter Officejet pro 87 .I get one selection for Officejet pro 8710 series so I selected that?
I downloaded the software and ran it but it could not find my printer even though the printer shows that is connected and gives me the IP address so I eneter the IP address as requested by the software and it still can't find the printer.
I downloaded the trouble shooter but that is basically the same software and that can't find the printer.
I am using a wifi connection By the way!
also I checked my firewall and that is allowing the printer through the firewall.

Thanks for responding,
Are you able to print or does it give you an error message?
Let's perform these steps:
1) Turn off the Router, Printer and the computer.
2) Wait for 60 seconds.
3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.
4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.
5) Turn on the computer and check the functionality
Here is the link for the Firmware Update: Click here
Let me know 🙂
Cheers!

Thanks for your help.
I have managed to get the software installed and when i tried printing the first page went through ok but when I tried to print more pages It didn't work..
I tried
"other Glossy inkjet papers"
"Hp Glossy brochure or Professional Paper" worked once!
"HP Photo papers" Worked twice!"
"HP Matte Brochure or professional paper"
"Other Matte inkjet papers"
I bought some 120 gsm non glossy photo paper and this worked but I really want to use glossy.

Thanks for responding,
It's great to have you back,
I would suggest you refer to the specification of your printer (Paper-handling specifications > Supported photo paper): Click here (Please check if the photo paper you're using is supported by the printer or not).
I would suggest you use HP photo paper (If you have not used)
Keep me posted,
Cheers!
