My brand new OfficeJet Pro 9010e printer works perfectly with Apple devices. However, I have not been able to print using my Lenovo, other than the original test print page when I installed the "HP Smart" software. The prints spool and just sit there. I have checked settings which are set to print immediately, not wait for spooling. I have tried every single thing that the virtual chat recommended. I am tired of uninstalling, unplugging and restarting. It works with the Apple devices!

@DSID, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print from your Win PC.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Install the printer using the TCP/IP port:
Check for any pending Windows updates first.
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Remove the existing printer entry > click on Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Find the IP address of the printer by tapping on the wireless/ethernet icon on the printer screen
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestions. I tried those, however. I was on the phone with support for an hour on Sunday. Those approaches were tried multiple times.
After we hung up, I tried HP Direct once again and was able to get a code but, when I entered the code on my computer, it said there was no driver. When we had tried that earlier, the printer was not displaying a code.
I have come to the conclusion that i will not be able to use the printer with my work PC. I have been transferring files to a USB hard drive and printing via my MacBook. When I have more time over the weekend, I plan to rid my PC of all things HP and start from scratch.
HP used to be the most intuitive. I am not pleased that I must have the HP Smart installed on a PC to use the printer whilst the Apple devices worked immediately. It seems that I should be able to install drivers and print.

HP Direct means wifi direct, which is completely different from installing the printer via a TCP/IP port.
Make sure you follow the steps mentioned in my previous post if the printer is connected to a wireless network.
If the printer is not connected to a network,
On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings
Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.
Let me know how it goes.
