Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Problem 1:

I cannot get my printer to print on both sides of a sheet of paper. I was able to get it when I first got it, but that has stopped. All other functions of the printer are working fine.

 

Some documents I can select the option for 2-sided printing on the screen when I go to print, but it still only prints on one side. Other documents it will not even give me the option to print on both sides, it will be greyed out.

 

I have searched via printer options on the printer itself, nothing. I have searched preferences/options for printing on my computer, nothing. Could anybody offer some guidance? I need this option for work.

 

Problem 2:

I am using an HP printer, with HP ink which came with the printer, and HP paper. the ink smears even after letting it dry for upwards of 20-30 minutes. Does anyone know what to use so the ink will not smear? Please advise, thanks!
