HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Perfect performance with light home use for 5 years+ and always used gen HP carts

Replaced a set of carts to find the 'damaged cart' message. Removed printhead and checked all printhead connections which were perfect and clean.  Installed a second set of brand new HP carts and the same message.

Looked on the HP website and found the link to the firmware (8600 wasnt listed but 8610 was) which opens in a separate window showing my printer but I cant select it to download it.

Anybody help please?

@Maggott1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print due to this error.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

If you have used 2 sets of ink cartridges and the error persists, this could be an issue with the printhead of the printer. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
