My OfficeJet Pro 8710 operates perfectly. I can scan, copy and print all I need to. The problem comes every couple of hours (usually when I'm not in the room), the screen will flash an error code (I caught a glimpse once), but the screen then goes to the generic "Printer Error" screen before I can read the code. So I power cycle the printer and I'm good for another couple of hours. I don't have an error code to troubleshoot, and the firmware is up to date. I've got it plugged directly into the wall now (it was in a power strip), but the problem is still happening. Any ideas on what is going on with my printer?

I was able to find a report on the printer which gave me an error code which directed me on a Google search and helped me figure out how to factory reset the printer. All is good again for me.

I'd be happy to assist you with the error code issue.
We'll have to perform a reset on the Printer for this. I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.
