Office Jet Pro 8715
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Our relatively new OfficeJet 8715 stopped printing last week.  It will still scan and copy, but won't print Word or other documents.  It will, however, print status pages, so I know the connection between the computer and the printer works.

I have tried:

1) Turning on and off the printer.

2) Removing the printer from the list of available printers, and re-installing it.

3) Updated drivers (they were already updated).

4) Removing the printer and all drivers, and completely reinstalling.

5) Printing from other computers connected via USB cable (doesn't work).

6) Running the HP diagnostic software (it shuts down after I select which printer I have and never completes).

7) Running troubleshooting through Windows (says there is a problem that it can't correct).

We've only printed just over 700 pages on this printer in the ~2 years we've had it, so this clearly shouldn't be happening.  There were no software changes made to the computer to which the printer is connected.
