My OfficeJet Printer Pro 9015 shows the blue screen with error code B305DFF9. Using the workaround suggested across the many other threads of unplugging the power cable, waiting 60 seconds, and then replugging the power cable brings the printer back up. But the error code locks it up again less than 30 minutes later. I have tried leaving it unplugged for 60 sec, 5 minutes, an hour, and it doesn't seem to matter. After it comes up, whether I print anything or not it locks up again. I even tried turning off all the other comms options except for the wifi connectivity but no luck (example bluetooth, wifi direct, etc).
This sounds like a pretty widespread issue across printer models so it's a little surprising that it's been 6 months and there is no permanent firmware fix for whatever the root cause is (I have bought HP laptops and printers for years and have never had such a frustrating issue).
Based on the other threads, it sounds like I need steps for doing a full factory/hard reset that will hopefully address the problem. How can I get those the OfficeJet Printer Pro 9015 ?

Hi @vm99,
I'd like to help!
I understand you are receiving a "b305" error on the printer screen.
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

I have the same issue and that aside cannot print from Windows 10 at all. I can print from an android phone via Wifi without problem except when the blue screen appears and makes the machine useless.
I have an HP Office Jet Pro 9015 model 1KR42A. Can you please 1) send me the instructions for a factory reset for this machine to eliminate the B305 error, and 2) tell me any steps I need to take to connect my printer so it will work with my up to date windows 10 laptop (I have not installed the optional 2021H1 windows update). Thanks.

HI HP,
yes, your solution worked for me. NO blue screen anymore.
But you should think about a better communication to your customers that secure all your jobs by buying a reliable printer.....
Why are you not be so open an tell your cutomers what the problem is and how you plan to fix the root cause. Sending out a single reply to each is not very efficient.
