How do I get my printer back after I clear a paper jam? The touchscreen doesn't reset, doesn't respond to touch and I can't even shut the printer down to restart using the power button. I pulled the plug the first time and got a message at startup that the printer had not been shut down properly (as if I didn't know). I'd be happy to do it properly if I could figure out how.

Hi @oedman
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the paper jam issue.
Let's try these steps to perform a power reset on the printer -
1) Take out the cartridges.
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Try updating the printer's firmware. Refer to this document for steps - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue still persists, try clearing the paper jam and clean the paper feed rollers. Refer to this document for step by step instructions.
Let me know how that goes.
Have a great day!
