Hi,
This is the second time my printer won't print in color. The first time it happened, I followed the instructions in this thread: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/My-Officejet-3830-will-not-print-in-color-from-my-comp.... I uninstalled my drivers and reinstalled it.
I need a more permanent solution to this. I'd rather not have to uninstall and reinstall my drivers every single time I have to print in color. Can anyone help me with this?

@SimonC90, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Try making a standalone copy in color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
For now, let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Check the estimated ink levels
On the printer control panel, touch the Ink icon to display the current estimated ink levels. Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.
Clean the ink cartridges
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.
-
The printer performs the automated cleaning process and then prints a Print Quality Diagnostic page.
Also, perform step 14 mentioned in this document.
Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.
-
Check for color.
Let me know how this goes.
