I have an office deskjet 38030 and trying to print over wifi using a macbook pro, printer is connected to the wifi, so is the mac, printer is added, when I hit it prints it seems like it sends it to the printer. When I open up the printer que is shows the printing job and says ready to print. I have updated the printers firmware, reset the printing system on the mac, reset the printer, deleted the printer, and reset the connection to the wifi. It seems to be paused and when I hit resume printing it says: printing-connecting to printer...then shifts back to pause and says: ready to print.

Thank you for the detailed response. The error here is "Encryption credentials have expired".
Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue. To obtain the IP address of the printer, tap on the wireless icon on the printer screen.
Restart the printer and the MAC and try printing.
Let me know how this goes.

Hi @rob1260
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
- Which application are you trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
- Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the MAC
Check the connectivity between the printer and the MAC
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the Wireless icon on the printer
- On the MAC Go to Spotlight > search for Network utility > select Ping tab > enter the IP address of the printer in the box
- Check the second box that says Send only > 10 pings
- Click on ping > Check the results at the end if any packets are lost
- Note: There should be 0% packet loss, share the results in your next post.
Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks for posting. From the HP utility page, i can print all sorts of test docs and such. Stand alone copy works. I searched for Network utility under spotlight and nothing came up, nor did Ping. I can access Network under system preferences, but cannot find what you suggest. I downloaded the HP smart App, can print a status page from the App webpage. But as soon as I send any doc, pdf, google doc...it wont print. It shows the printer in connected. No luck
