My printer was working earlier, a print job got stuck in the queue and would not delete, so to clear the printer I unplugged the power supply cable, but when I plugged it back in the printer was "dead". It will not switch on, the fuse has been tested and is fine. What can I do to get the printer working again?

Hi @Alieff,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
When your HP OfficeJet 4630 does not power on after unplugging it, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Check the Power Source
- Ensure that the power outlet you are using is working by plugging in another device.
- If using a power strip or surge protector, try plugging the printer directly into the wall outlet.
2. Check the Power Cable and Adapter
- Inspect the power cable and adapter for any visible damage.
- Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to the printer and the power outlet.
3. Reset the Printer
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
4.Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still plugged into the wall outlet.
- Hold down the power button on the printer for 15 seconds.
- Release the power button and reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
5. Test with a Different Power Cord or Adapter
- If you have access to another compatible power cord or adapter, try using it to see if the issue is with the original power supply.
6Check for Overheating
- Ensure that the printer is placed in a well-ventilated area and is not overheating.
- Allow the printer to cool down for a while before attempting to power it on again.
7. Inspect the Printer for Signs of Life
- Listen for any sounds (e.g., fan or internal mechanisms) when you press the power button.
- Look for any lights or display activity.
If none of the above steps work, there may be an internal hardware issue with the printer. Contact HP Phone Support for further assistance or to inquire about repair options.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
