My Officejet 4650 suddenly reports: "cannot print. Visit www:instaink.com for information." Numerous attempts produce same result. Looked at www:instaink.com and found no useful info. Using IMac OS10.15 Operating System. No recent software or driver changes. System Preferences shows the 4650 selected and its Status is "Error." Both ink cartridges are full. No other problems with the iMac. Tried shutting the Printer off and on. No luck. Tried shutting down and restarting the Mac. No luck. My internet connection is wireless and working fine. What's next to try?
By the way, wondering if the 4650 can be connected via cable. If so, would that solve the problem?

@Clabaugh, Welcome to HP Support Community!
This looks like an issue with the Instant Ink Account. Connecting a cable will not help as the printer needs to be connected to the network for the Instant Ink Services to run. Try the steps below-
Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Restart the devices
- Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
- Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
- Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
- Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
- Turn on the computer.
If the issue persists, we would need some information related to your Instant Ink Subscription. This information cannot be shared on a public post.

Thanks for getting back to me. I followed the procedure prescribed very carefully but it did not solve my no print problem. So, as instructed, In order to access my private messages, I clicked the private message icon on the upper right corner of my HP Forums profile; but there were no private messages. Consequently I could not detail my Instant ink situation. I think I may not have subscribed to that service, though I can't recall for certain. Anyway, I still can't print and continue to need HELP!
