Officejet 4650
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a problem with my OfficeJet 4650 where it only printed in black and white, no matter the software I was printing from that I think stems from a driver update that broke it. The printer could print a color test page from the printer itself just fine, so it wasn't an ink issue. I read a number of "experts" here claim that deleting the drivers and reinstalling the latest driver was the answer. It isn't.

You could probably install the old driver if you can find it, but the actual answer is to go to Printers and Scanners in windows, click Manage on your OfficeJet 4650 series printer, then click Printer Properties, then select the Color Management tab, then click on Color Management. It deceptively shows Device: and a picture of your monitor with your monitor name in a dropdown next to it. Go to that dropdown list and select your OfficeJet printer. Then check the "Use my settings for this device" checkbox and under Profile Selection choose "Manual". Then go to the bottom and click Add. Scroll down to US. Sheetfeed Uncoated v2 and click OK. Then hit close. Your problem is solved! Now wasn't that obvious? Thanks for nothing HP!
