Like many others I get recurring error codes with my printer. A reset solves the issue temporarily but then after while of non use the error comes back. The code this time is 0XB8519CA6 but I have seen other codes and there seems no way to get rid of it permanently. While the temporary fix is fairly straightforward there must be some deeper issue to stop this frustrating error repeating.

I've used the HP Smart support, updated drivers and firmware and gone round in circles.

As I use the Instant Ink feature I leave the printer on and connected to the internet but along with the error code the blue Wi-Fi light also is flashing.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks but I have seen this same response posted before.

Printer firmware is up to date.

I've followed the instructions to turn off and I've plugged into a different outlet. No joy.

Printer can't be plugged direct to a wall outlet so is on an extension. It has worked without problems previously for more than a year before the issue started.

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware issue.
