Product: Officejet Pro 6978
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Stopped printing.  I replaced all 4 ink cartridges.  Still says 'printhead problem'.

There is not a release lever on right of ink cartridge carrier so I don't know how to remove the printhead

it's an Officejet Pro 6978 bought new in Sept 2016.  Printhead part #CN643A

Is it time to buy a new printer?

It's time for a new printer, the printhead is not replaceable part on your model.
