My printer will not connect to the network.  It was working well (recently) and just quit.  Cannot connect through the setup feature, it claims there is an error in the login information which has never changed in the years I've had this thing.  HPPSD finds the printer but cannot connect to it.  It is not showing up on the Router Genie (Netgear 8500) in the network map display, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the latest driver several times.  Nothing.  I like this printer a lot but it is getting to be too much of a problem.  Advice?

Hi,

May you had any network change lately, such as a router replacement?

Could you try powering off your router for a minute, power it back on and allow it several minutes to initialize till you can access the internet, then restart the printer and try connecting it again.

SchlomiL,

I've done that 8 or 10 times.  No good, but thanks.  I'm thinking the printer is about kaput.

That is possible, but please print a wireless network test to get a better indication of the cause.

Form the printer screen tap the right arrow and select Network, then select Wireless and then select Wireless Network Test.

Many thanks for all who expressed an interest or tried to help with my "problem".    I have no idea how I did it, but my printer magically started working again yesterday.  Frustrating, demoralizing and a pain in the ass, but it's working and I'll take it.  Thanks again!
