Officejet 7500A Wide Format
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A few years ago someone recommended using the Officejet 7000 driver to accomocate custom sizes.  I was able to custom set sizes up to 48 inches wide;  However, I lost the setup directions and the driver does not provide custom formating without the specific instalation instructions.

I am requesting the setup instructions to use the Officejet 7000 driver to operate the officejet 7500A printer.

Thanks,

Frank Winfield

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand the Officejet 7500A Wide Format Printer does not have custom size feature with driver and you need assistance with the same,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you try looking for the drivers on the HP website?

While you respond to that, I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Once the above steps have been completed,

Simply, download and install the Officejet 7000 drivers using the Official HP website: Click here

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.

Hello,

I have the driver designed for the 7500A Offiejet.  The original driver designed for the printer was did not include a custom feature for wide format operation eventhough HP designated it as such.

I need the instructions to load the driver for officejet 7000 to enable it to function on the 7500A printer.  I sucessfully used that in the past, but I no longer have the sutup instructions.

Thanks,

FDW

@winf

Thank you for replying with this overwhelming and detailed response 😉

I appreciate your time and efforts,

Although, we clearly aren't on the same page here, considering the instructions I sent earlier should have helped you install the Officejet 7000 drivers on your officejet 7500A,

Did you go through all the steps, if yes, would you care to explain what went wrong or why my instructions didn't help? are you getting some error?

I would appreciate some details, so I can help resolve your concern.

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!
