Hello,
Recently, I've been recieving the "Paper Size Mismatch" error on my Officejet 7612 wide format printer.
I don't understand where this is coming from and can't find a solution to fix it. I'm using the same paper ~ standard 8.5" x 11" printer paper ~ and programs I've always used. Haven't changed any settings in the software I use to print and even uninstalled and reinstalled the software and drivers from the HP site.
I even was able to print a document today without a problem, then without changing anything, tried to print the same document again and got this error. There is no way to bypass this error and print the documents. I normally choose the Letter option in the paper size dropdown. But have also tried A4 and Legal with the same results.
Can someone please tell me if there is a fix for this. I see a lot of complaints about this error, but not many using this model printer.
Thank you,

I think I've discovered why I'm getting the Paper Size Mismatch error.
I use Paint.net to edit and print images and recently installed a plugin pack for additional editing options. The instructions said to drag the .dll files into the Effects folder where Paint.net is installed. I hadn't made the connection, but it was about this time I started receiving the errors.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Paint.net and used a proper installer to add the .dll's to the program folder. I have not received the error since.
I thought it was important to mention this for others who may have recently installed or updated a program, or use Paint.net as their image editor. Thank you all for your input and advice.

Thank you and yes, I've been to this link already.
As I said in my original post, I'm using the same paper and settings that I always have. I use standard 8.5" x 11.0" plain printer paper and the default settings for the programs I use to print are set at either Letter, Legal or A4 paper size.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the proper software and drivers from the HP website and went through the procedure to reset the printer by unplugging everything, waiting and pluggin it back in. I've also done a full factory reset using the touch screen display.
The printer name that appears in the printer list is: HP Officejet 7610 Series. Even though the software I installed from HP stated it was for the 7612. I'm printing using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit.
I've removed and reinserted the paper, adjusted the paper guides and checked for paper jams. All checks out.
This printer has worked for months with no issues whatsoever. And I haven't changed any of my printing habits or installed any other printing software.
The programs I use most to print are OpenOffice.org for documents and Paint.Net for images and photos. Both are fully updated.
I sincerely hope someone can help me fix this issue. The next step will be returning this printer and buying from a different vendor.
Thanx,

Hi,
You can find it under your application, under "Printer Properties" > "Paper/Quality" > "Paper Size".
Example on MS Word is shown below.
Hope that helps.

I wish that qwould work for me. It works fine if I use one of the preset size in MS Word (I am trying to print on invite size 5.5 x 8.5). I can set it up as a custom size and keep getting the paper mismatch even though both the printer and document are set up for this. I can use one of the preset size 5.8 x 8.75 and there is no paper mismatch notice but its not centered. I am ready to throw the printer out the window.
