I only print from my iPad and for last 6 months I am having issues. Sometimes it just prints a blank page. Lately only printing half the page with the middle portion missing. I only do wireless printing. Have never had an issue until recently. I tried printing from HPsmart and that sometimes works but not all the time. Cleaned printer heads and didn’t help. I have shut down and restarted many times, and it did work a few times but isn’t anymore. I restored to factory defaults. I don’t know what else to do. I am ready to throw it in the garbage as I keep asking others to print something for me and I have to go pick it up.

Hi @40-love,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing a printing issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 E-All-In-One Printer - N911a. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Check Ink Levels and Cartridges
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that all ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Low ink levels can cause printing issues.
Re-seat Cartridges:
- Turn on the printer and open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove the cartridges and reinsert them, making sure they are properly seated.
Replace Cartridges:
- If any of the cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new ones.
Printhead Cleaning
Manual Cleaning:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the ink cartridge access door and remove the printhead.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to clean the printhead and the contacts.
Automatic Cleaning:
- Use the printer’s built-in printhead cleaning function, which can be accessed through the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.
Update Firmware and Drivers Update the firmware on an HP printer
Firmware Update:
- Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can update the firmware via the HP Smart app or by downloading it from the HP Support website.
Driver Update:
- Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
Network Connection
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure your printer and iPad are connected to the same WiFi network.
Reset Network Settings:
- On your printer, go to Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings.
Reconfigure Wireless Settings:
- Reconfigure your wireless settings on the printer to ensure a stable connection.
Print from Another Device
- Test Printing from Another Device:
- Try printing from another device (like a computer) to determine if the issue is specific to your iPad.
Test Print Quality Report
- Print a Quality Report:
- On your printer, go to the control panel, and navigate to Setup > Tools > Print Quality Report. This can help diagnose any print quality issues.
Disable Web Services:
- Disable and re-enable Web Services on your printer. Go to Setup > Web Services Settings > Remove Web Services and then re-enable them.
Factory Reset:
- If all else fails, perform a factory reset again and reconfigure the printer settings.
