I have this printer a couple of years. Until 3 days ago, printing went fine. since a couple of days, when sending a print job, the printer shows "printing" and does not do anything and the icon keeps turning but no printing happens. When cancelling the print job, the printer moves mechanically and then the lcd stops showing the "printing turning icon" and goes to idle.
I tired printing documents I was able to print successfully a couple of days ago without succes. Printing test screens from within the printer works fine. I would like to do a factory reset, but I can nowhere find how to do this...

@eskimo1973, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 7730 shows "Printing" but doesn't actually print, even though test pages from the printer itself work fine. Let's walk through some steps to resolve this issue.
Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check Printer Connection
- Ensure the printer is properly connected to your network (Wi-Fi or USB).
- If using Wi-Fi, try printing a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer's control panel to confirm connectivity.
Clear Print Queue
- On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select See what's printing.
- Cancel all documents in the queue.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP OfficeJet Pro 7730 Drivers Page and download the latest drivers for your operating system.
- Uninstall the current printer software and reinstall using the latest version.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
