My printer has an error code 0xc19a0003 and claims the printerhead is missing, or not installed.  This just showed up suddenly with no warning and after successfully being used for years. Can I replace the printer head.? Where can I get the parts?

Hi @Rivck,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue getting an Error code 0xc19a0003 on an HP Officejet Pro 8610 usually indicates a printhead issue. Replacing the printhead might solve the problem. Here's what you can do:

  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a couple of minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn the printer on and see if the error persists.
  • Clean the Printhead: If the printhead is clogged, cleaning it might help. HP printers usually have a built-in cleaning function accessible through the printer's settings or maintenance menu. Follow the printer's manual or instructions on how to perform a printhead cleaning.
  • Replace the Printhead: If the error persists after restarting and cleaning the printhead, it's likely that the printhead has failed and needs replacement. You can purchase a replacement printhead directly from HP
