HP Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had this printer for a couple of months and had no problems.  Today it won't print.  I shut EVERYTHING down and restarted.  Uninstalled and reinstalled printer software.  Ran the HP printer Dr. program, stopped and restarted the printer spooling service, and it still won't print.  Although it makes a few clicking sounds like it's going to print.... but that's it.  HELP !!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Try making a copy on the printer to check if that works.

Updating the printer firmware and Installing Windows Built-in drivers may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Step 2: Check if you are able to print from the EWS page

• Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.

• Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.\

• If you get any security notification, click on show details and 'proceed to this website'.

• Try to print a test page. If a test page prints, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Use Windows built-in drivers

Follow steps mentioned in this document.

Let me know how this goes.
