HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer

I've seen no meaningful help on this topic.

I found this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW0TLMZo220

But I'm not ready to dismantle my printer myself yet

Hi @andiho ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the print cartridge is stuck on the right side of your HP Officejet Pro 9015 printer and is not moving, there are several steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in.
  • Turn on the printer and see if the cartridge moves to the center.

Manually Move the Cartridge:

  • Ensure the printer is turned off.
  • Carefully move the print cartridge carriage to the center by gently pushing it with your hand. Be cautious and do not apply excessive force.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the printer for any obstructions, such as pieces of paper, that might be blocking the carriage's movement. Remove any obstacles you find.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about a minute, then plug the power cord back in.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the cartridge moves.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve hardware issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
