I bought the care package extension...and I have access to nothing at all...and all I need is an answer to the recurrent flashing blue screen on the printer B305DFF1. There is nothing anywhere in their online documentation. This is the worst issue I've ever had with any HP product, and I've been a grateful customer for decades.

I'm dealing with the same issue. After a couple days of the printer being plugged in I get the flashing blue screen with the same error code: B305DFF1. If I unplug the printer, leave it unplugged for a bit, then plug it back in it works again albeit for only a couple days. Is there a permanent solution? I have the latest firmware install, dated 10/15/20.

The document - the only means I have to determining the solution - says the suggestions provided in the document should work else the printer needs "service".

I take that to mean that there is something irreparably wrong that requires a technician.

The original question seemed to include that the printer is, in fact, in Warranty.

That being the case, if source of the problem is a covered item in the Care Pack, HP will take care of the repair.

We are not HP Support - we never answer specific questions about Warranty.

Mine's not under warranty. I also understand that you're not employees or warranty claim advisors, this post however was the only one I could find that someone reported the same error I was receiving. Know if HP repairs products out of warranty, at my expense?

My Opinion:

HP would like  not repair the printer for you.

Depending on the printer, the time, effort, and expense to the company is not worth the return (even if you pay for the repair).

I am perhaps not correct - I spent a lot of years on IT and the experience does bias my opinions.

Yeah, but...

For better or for worse, HP is not primarily a repair house - HP sells what it manufactures and provides warranty repair / replacement for products in Warranty.

What to do?

At least here in the USA, I believe some (a few, one?) of the Office Supply stores might provide tech services that might include printer repair.  I live in the County but near the urban areas - there are computer repair centers sprinkled in the area, some of which are likely able to repair a printer for a reasonable price.

Example:  Frys used to repair computers, at least.  I am not sure if Frys also repairs printers (or whether they even still repair computers)...

Yeah, but...

If you want to pursue the idea of asking HP to repair your device (I have not actual opinion about whether you do so), I can forward a request for review.  If the review is accepted you would receive a response here before anyone contacts you using other means.

I experienced the same issue.  Also with Error Code B805D898.  Unplugging works, but the issue reoccurs.  Did you get an answer as to what these Codes mean and how you stop them from  reoccurring?
